On our New Years trip we had the opportunity to spend the day at Point Reyes National Seashore. It was a beautiful, clear day. Chilly and windy, but with all the hiking we did to and from the lighthouse, nobody minded a bit. The elephant seals were occupying a haul-out for breeding season, and we saw a half a dozen whales popping their little blow-holes up. Point Reyes is a stunning place.
